Work Experience:

1996 - Elected as a Deputy (Member of Parliament) to the Chamber of Deputies (House of Representatives) for the first time. Re-elected again as a member on behalf of ČSSD (Czech Social Democratic Party) in 1998 and 2002.

A member of the Budget Committee (from 1996), a member of the Committee for Mandates (Proxy) and Immunity (1996 – 1998), the Chairman of the sub-committee of the Budget Committee responsible for Financial and Capital Markets (1998 – 2001), the Chairman of the Czech Social Democratic Party Deputies Club in the Chamber of Deputies (from May 2001 to July 2002), the Chairman of the Temporary Board of the Chamber of Deputies for Pension Reform (2001).

Member of the City Council (from November 1998) in Slavkov u Brna.
